Think you have Imposter Syndrome?

Do you have it? How does it affect you?

A real-world screener.

Imposter Syndrome costs you every single day - and it's time to stop paying.

That tension in your neck, shoulders and jaw? That nagging voice and your catastrophising at the slightest error?

Think what life COULD be like without all of that! Break free, choose what YOU really want for yourself. Step up, step to the side or step away from your current role or new opportunities. YOU choose.

Natural Nerves vs Imposter Syndrome

Lots of us talk about Imposter Syndrome, particularly around new challenges or stepping up.

That may be more Natural Nerves (that we'd all have). This screener will help see whether it is a spike of Natural Nerves or more ongoing and pervasive, like Imposter Syndrome.

Inspired by Pauline Clance's work on high-achieving women, the questions in her Imposter Phenomenon scale were comprehensive. It was also designed in 1985, and the workplace has transformed since then. At least they should have!

The other references suggest that there are different approaches to looking at Imposter Syndrome as well as what to do about it.

There are also a few 'tells' that we have Imposter Syndrome that aren't usually covered. If you have it, you'll recognise yourself straight away in these.

Good!

We're seeing a surge in discussion about Imposter Syndrome and how to treat it.

What will you do after the Screener?

The questions are there to make you think as well as provide an overall rating.

We're smart people and know that the rating bands are broad and generalised. The rating vs. the severity of Imposter Syndrome is broadly linear but not completely.

Please don't use your self-rating as something else to beat yourself up with.

Use it as something to take stock, and then take the next step.

What next step?

Coaching for Natural Nerves.

Therapy for Imposter Syndrome. Fast, effective Therapy.

I've used BLAST Therapy with many sufferers who were rapidly cured. It's a light therapy moving side to side, reprocessing the memories of the early times when we didn't feel enough.

When these are processed enough to file away, the Imposter Syndrome goes.

Good luck!

I hope you find the screener helpful.
